Just when you thought you had enough R2 to sustain The Saga Collection, up pops this sub-collection series of old crap re-hashes. Dubbed "The Episode III Heroes & Villains Collection" these 12 select figures from the Revenge of the Sith line are nothing more than the same figures in new packaging. What's gonna kill me the most is having to get all six variations because just like the regular Saga Collection figures, these too are packaged with a random hologram figure!
My fiance Shannon finally tracked down this super cool video game controller by Jakks Pacific. This item was shipped two per case (I believe) along with the Darth Vader version. This item retailed around $20 give or take and was released shortly after the theatrical release of Star Wars Revenge of the Sith in 2005. The official Star Wars website has a nice article on these along with some screen shots of what the actual video games included within look like.
Just playing catch up here on some items that were available around the holidays. This mug could be found at Target or Toys "R" Us for around $9.99. You can expect to pay between $10 - $20 US for this on eBay.com.
Here is the latest R2-D2 Burger King Kids Meal toy. This R2-D2 has a button on his back that you push to project an image of Princess Leia from within! Enjoy the pics!
I finally found this at Wal-Mart! I remember when I first started seeing the M&M cross promotional characters and was sad it didn't include R2-D2. Months later as we can see there are several very cool R2-D2 M&M items for collectors to collect! Two thumbs up on the plush M&M R2-D2!
Caught this little gem out of the corner of my eye on a recent trip to Wal-Mart. Rang up for only $2.97, figured what the heck, it's R2-D2! They also had a version with Yoda on top!
This plush Christmas ornament from Kurt Adler is much larger than you would think. I've added a photo to the gallery which compares it side by side with a regular 3+3/4" R2-D2 action figure. I scored this one from my Canadian connection Dave, thus the Canadian tag.
These two Kurt Adler R2-D2 ornaments use the same mold. One is made of ceramic and the other is made of plastic or resin. What I don't understand is why the ceramic version, being much more fragile wasn't sold with a box for added protection.
Originally released under the Power of the Jedi "Palm Talkers" line, this squatty little R2-D2 is still cool as ever in these new ROTS digs. Same mold, same sound chip, just new packaging and a new name.
Special thank to "Jovial Jedi Jay" for these sweet box shots of the Interactive R2-D2 in its new Revenge of the Sith packaging! This is the same droid that was released a few years earlier, just new packaging.
